NTC, DICT set up 15 SIM card registration booths in remote areas

MANILA, PHILIPPINES —  In a media briefing on Wednesday, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) announced that 15 SIM card registration booths had been set up in various remote areas in the country.

The 15 pilot sites are up between January 25 to January 27, 2023. See the full list of SIM card registration booths below:

Both agencies launched the program to help hasten SIM registration, which will end on April 26, 2023. Most of the booths will be set up in remote areas in the country or Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) with little to no internet.
