PAGASA: No LPA, ITCZ affects Southern Mindanao

WEATHER UPDATE —  According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is spotted inside and nearby the Philippine Area of Responsibility. However, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect the southern portion of Mindanao.

The weather agency reports no LPA currently being monitored. No LPA is also expected for the next three days. Meanwhile, the ITCZ brings localized thunderstorms to the southern portion of Mindanao.

No other major weather system is affecting the country.

The country may expect fair weather conditions today, with possible localized rainshowers and thunderstorms that last for around 30 minutes to one hour.



WEATHER TODAY – November 23, 2022

For today’s weather forecast, the major portion of Luzon generally has fair weather conditions with possible rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao may also expect fair weather conditions with chances of isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

No gale warning has been issued, making sea travel reasonably safe.

Metro Manila, Baguio City, Legazpi City, and Metro Cebu may experience fair weather for the next three days. Meanwhile, rainy weather conditions are expected in Metro Davao due to the ITCZ.
