Sweet Home 2 revolves around a world infested with monsters and finding a cure. The Korean series originally premiered three years ago, during the height of the pandemic. The second season is set to premiere on December 1 of this year. The series’ first season focused on the residents of Green Home trapped in their homes as humans transform into monsters. Season 2, on the other hand, showcases life outside of Green Home and its monsters.
The trailer for the second season featured Cha Hyun-su (portrayed by actor Song Kang) controlling the monster in him, which was last season’s cliffhanger. Another scene suggests that Hyun-su aids in developing a vaccine against the phenomenon of humans transforming into monsters.
Sweet Home’s director, Lee Eung-bok, stated in an interview that “While season 1 portrayed tension and fear in the confined space of Green Home, season 2 will be set in an open space with the introduction of a whole new group of characters and monsters.” Other returning cast members from Season 1 include Lee Si-young, Go Min-si, and Park Gyu-young. The series’ newcomers include Jung Jin-young, Yoo, Oh-seong, and Kim Moo-yeol
Season 2’s new poster shows Hyun Soo with a monster-like wing with sharp spikes. The poster includes helicopter lights and military guns. In the middle is Cha Hyun Soo, who turns into a monster inside an abandoned stadium along with the helicopter lights and guns. The new poster leaves viewers excited and excited about what’s about to happen in the new season premiering on the first day of next month.
Actor Song Kang shared, “I had a thirst for something emotionally deeper and more dramatic, and coming back to Sweet Home and expressing my emotions in a dramatic way quenched a lot of that thirst, and I was able to learn about myself and develop a lot more.”
Sweet Home’s director, Lee Eung Bok, continued to share, “The story focuses on how Hyun Soo preserves his humanity until the end, even on the edge of despair.”
