SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Yang Se-Jong and Suzy are possible star leads for the upcoming Netflix original series and a webtoon-based kdrama entitled “The Girl Downstairs (working title).”
According to Soompi, Xportsnews reported on April 20 that the South Korean actor Yang Se-Jong will be playing the male lead in the Korean series.
Blossom Entertainment, Se-Jong’s agency, commented as a response to the reports saying, “It is true that Yang Se-Jong received an offer to star in ‘The Girl Downstairs,’ and he is positively reviewing [the offered role].”
The series created by Songah Min is a well-known webtoon from Naver. The storyline is about a college freshman Lee Won-Joon and ex-idol named Lee Du-Na, who end up living together in a shared housing.
The role of Lee Won-Jon is offered to Se-Jong .
If Se-Jong accepts the offered position for the upcoming series, it will mark his first project after his discharge from the military last year in November.
Moreover, a recent revelation about the female lead character is in talks on social media. Suzy, the main vocalist of the girl group Dream Sweet, who suddenly decided to retire, is offered to play the role.
The actress was also a trending topic on Twitter as she stars in PSY’s latest 9th album.
Singer-songwriter, dancer, and producer, Park Jae-sang, popularly known as PSY, recently announced the release date of his full-length album on his official Twitter account alongside the music video teaser of his ‘Celeb’ track starring Suzy.
