HOLYWOOD, USA — The iconic Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) is set to return to theaters on June 9, 2023, in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The teaser trailer was released today, December 2, 2022, and now has over 5 million views on Youtube.

“Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons,” wrote Paramount Pictures.

The film is set in 1994, just after the Bumblebee spin-off. It once again tackles the war between Autobots and Decepticons on earth, with the addition of the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons for the first time.

Beast Wars’ Maximals and Predacons are transformers whose alternate forms are based on organic animals. In the teaser trailer, we see Optimus Primal (voiced by Ron Perlman) in his gorilla form.

Meanwhile, Terrorcons are a Decepticon subgroup that can change their forms to frightening beasts.

Ex-military gearhead Noah (Anthony Ramos) and museum researcher Elena (Dominique Fishback) will play as two humans involved in the conflict of the Cybertronians.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. The screenplay is by Joby Harold, Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters, and Erich Hoeber & Jon Hoeber, with story by Harold.

It was first announced in 2021, and set to release in 2022. However, it was delayed for another year, arriving in theaters on June 9, 2023. – WhatALife!
