Perez triumphed after an exceedingly long competition that clocked in at nearly seven hours. Notably, the answer that helped her clinch victory was compelling and hit close to home.

Question: After we go through this pandemic, what would you want us to learn from it?

Answer: After this pandemic, I hope that we never take for granted the family we have, taking care of our health, and taking care of the people that protect us – our leaders, our front liners. We should always give importance to those people. We may not see the efforts that they give out, but most definitely they are our modern heroes, and for that, we should always be grateful. We should always stick with them and pray for them.

Though she took home the crown, the extended duration of the pageant, unfortunately, caused her to stumble and fall on stage!

Additionally, Riana Pangindian and Ganiel Krishnan placed the runner-up titles: First and Second Princesses, respectively.

Here are the other winners of October 3’s beauty pageant!

Miss Eco Philippines is Kathleen Paton, who will be competing in the Miss Eco International pageant. The winner will become an Eco-Tourism advocate and UN goodwill ambassador!

Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas is Emmanuelle Vera. She’ll be tackling the Reina Hispanoamericana beauty pageant, which accepts candidates from countries with Hispanic culture. Fun fact, the Philippines joined the competition as recently as 2017! And that year, our pambato for that competition, Winwyn Marquez, won!

Miss Tourism Philippines goes to Trisha Martinez. The Miss Tourism International pageant will have its 21st run on December 18, 2021.

Miss Environment Philippines is Michelle Arceo. Miss Environment International will occur in 2022, starting on March ?3.

Additionally, Miss Multinational Philippines is Shaila Rebortera. Finally, Miss Eco Teen Philippines is Tatyana Austria
