The recent sight of Megastar Sharon Cuneta wrapping dishes at a birthday party has delighted fans and celebrities with the “balutin mo ako” frenzy.

The singer-actress attended the birthday bash of her cousin Gian Sotto, son of former senator Tito Sotto III and veteran actress Helen Gamboa.

Sharon’s cousin, Ciara Sotto, shared a video from the celebration on her Instagram page. In the caption, she expressed love and gratitude for Gian Sotto, calling him the best brother and vice mayor.

In the video, Sharon can be seen diligently packaging food items into containers while extending birthday wishes to her cousin Gian.

“Pasensya na. Happy birthday my brother Gian. I love you so much and thank you for my balutin mo ako ng hiwaga… This one is for my babies, my husband, and my children,” Sharon said.

In the background, Ciara’s laughter resonates as Sharon playfully asserts, “Ako na ‘to, si Sharon, huwag kayong mahiya basta nagpaalam ako, matinong nagpaalam.”

This amusing incident echoes a previous interview where Sharon was asked if she feels offended when her name is associated with food wrapping at parties.

“Tuwang-tuwa ako. Kasi siyempre minsan nadadaanan mo sa YouTube, TikTok o kaya sa Facebook ‘yun mga may picture ko nasa buffet table tapos may ekis… Na-touch ako. Ang cute naman at least naalala ako, di ba,” Sharon remarked.

The jest surrounding Sharon’s name being synonymous with food wrapping at gatherings stems from her iconic song “Bituing Walang Ningning.”

Sharon Cuneta’s involvement in wrapping dishes at Gian Sotto’s birthday celebration has sparked laughter and fondness among fans, showcasing her endearing and down-to-earth personality once again.
