Season 2 of Loki was already made available for streaming on Disney+ on October 5, 2023, at 6:00 PM PT.
A quick recap of what happened in season 1: Loki immediately dove into action. Picking up at the Avengers: Endgame heist scene. Marvel viewers know that Loki previously died in the movies and that the current Loki in the series is a variant from an alternate timeline. The ‘Time Variance Agency’ was also introduced in the series as Loki’s captors when they tracked him down after he successfully stole the Tesseract. Loki was taken to the Agency’s headquarters so they could reset the timeline and get rid of anomalies that interfere with the Sacred Timeline.
It was also revealed in the previous season that there is a female Loki variant, Sylvie (portrayed by actress Sophia Di Martino). Sylvie shares similar interests with Loki to meet the Time-keepers as he tries to wager a deal with her, and the two go on adventures together through the various timelines of the multiverse.
Fans were also happy to see the return of Lady Sif, portrayed by actress Jamie Alexander. Lady Sif was seen in previous Marvel movies and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where she returned a few times to reprise her role as Asgardian, Lady Sif.
In the first episode of the season, fans were immediately introduced to the main issue, which happens to be Loki time-slipping uncontrollably as he bounces through the past, present, and future in just a matter of seconds.
The first episode was titled “Ouroborus” and introduced Marvel fans to a new character, O.B.,who previously advised Mobius (portrayed by Owen Wilson) to remove Loki from the stream of time as a solution to the presenting issue.
Since the release of season 2 the previous week, fans have been waiting for the second episode of the season to be released on Disney Plus. Episode 2 of Loki’s season 2 is set to be released on October 12, 2023, at 6:00 PM Pacific Time, which would be October 13, 2023, at 9:00 AM for Filipino fans.
