MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Get ready for hot afternoons and a love tale unlike any other as the newest GMA Afternoon Prime series Return to Paradise, debuts on GMA-7 on August 1.

Derrick Monasterio, a sought-after Kapuso leading man, plays Red in the show. In her first starring part, Sparkle artist Elle Villanueva plays Eden in the cast. Award-winning and multi-talented actress Ms. Eula Valdes plays Amanda in her much-anticipated return to GMA.
Derrick reveals that he and Elle put a lot of effort into developing their connection and relationship to perform hot moments in the television series successfully.
“May process kami as performers and people. Professionally, I can handle intimate sequences, so we don’t have any issues. But, additionally, I must determine her restrictions since I know how easily I may insult my co-actor.” Derrick said.
In Return to Paradise, Elle says she had a lot of firsts. “Whenever possibilities occur, tinatanggap ko and I am extremely open with various roles,” she says.
“I was terrified by the bold kissing sequences in front of the camera. But, it’s a serious show with many hurdles, and I’m glad to be a part of it. Masaya nakakapanibago.“ Villanueva added.
Despite never having worked together on acting projects before, Monasterio and Villanueva immediately demonstrated good chemistry in the show’s teaser.
The audience understood from it that the story revolves around college athletes Eden (Villanueva) and Red (Monasterio), who are stranded on an island following an aircraft disaster.
They fall in love passionately while navigating the dangers of living in the wild.
When the two are rescued, they learn that their parents have an unresolvable argument that will separate them.
Will Eden and Red’s real love prevail in the end? Does their family have a chance to get over the past and begin a new one?

- Liezel Lopez plays Sabina, Red’s cunning ex-girlfriend.
- Teresa Loyzaga portrays Rita, Red’s absentee mother.
- Ricardo Cepeda plays Victor, Red’s strict father.
- Karel Marquez plays Dindi, Amanda’s caring sister.
- Kiray Celis portrays Raichu, Elle’s hilarious best friend.
- Mr. Allen Dizon as Lucho, the one who would attempt to save Amanda from all her miseries.
- Mia Pangyarihan as Miss Vinluan, Eden’s coach.
- Paolo Paraiso as Zandro, Rita’s helpmate in making Amanda’s life miserable.
Don Michael Perez will be directing the seductive and unique tale Return to Paradise, which will air every Monday through Friday at 3:25 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime starting on August 1. – WhatALife!/Brix
