Cagayan de Oro, Philippines — All residents can now pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccination program. However, the vaccination rollout is still catering for the Priority groups A1 – A3 as of writing.

Upon receiving the vaccination schedule, individuals are requested to arrive at the designated site at least 30 minutes in advance, along with their respective documentary requirements.

Below is the step-by-step flow of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Step 1: Upon arriving at the vaccination site, immediately claim your priority number, to be distributed by an assigned security guard or help desk. To claim, show the text message from the City Data Management Team. Once you have your number, stay within the waiting area.

Step 2: Once your number is called, proceed to the vaccination registration area to receive your vaccination card;

Step 3: Next, you will have to attend a short orientation in the counselling area before filling up and signing a waiver;

Step 4: Checking of vital signs;

Step 5: A designated doctor will screen and give you assessments on whether or not you can receive the jab, especially for those who declared they are with comorbidities. Priority group under A2 Senior Citizens and A3 Adults with comorbidities must present a medical certificate and/or medical clearance from their personal doctor to proceed to the next step;

Step 6: Vaccination proper;

Step 7: During the post-vaccination observation, jabbed individuals will stay in an area for 15 minutes to observe any adverse reaction from the received COVID-19 vaccine. Once checked out, vital signs will be checked once again before release.

A team from Oro rescue is on standby in case of emergency.

If you missed attending your first, or even your second, scheduled vaccination, contact the COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Hotline below or wait for a rescheduled text message from the City Data Management Team.

Currently, serving vaccination sites are city-run Limketkai Mall and SM Downtown Premier, and the DOH-run Centrio Ayala Mall.

Vaccinated individuals scheduled to receive their second dose are asked by the local government and the Department of Health regional office to wait for their assigned vaccination site and schedule via text message. More importantly, the public is urged not to proceed to the vaccination site without the text message.
