MANILA, Philippines – Gretchen Ho clarifies her story on Instagram about a quote from Amber Lyon that went viral after netizens referring to her ex-boyfriend Robi Domingo being newlywed.
Gretchen Ho confirmed that her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Robi Domingo remains positive and that she is genuinely happy about his marriage to Maiqui Pineda. This affirmation followed her social media post discussing “trusting ourselves” during “challenging” times, which garnered attention online.
The quote read: “Things don’t come to us once we are ready, they tend to arrive early. Right when we are not sure of our capacity to fulfill them. And that’s the acceptance of the challenge. The ability to trust ourselves to figure it out as we go. To navigate new waters and learn along the way.”
Gretchen Ho clarified that she is happy for Robi and Maiqui in her recent post on X.

Ho and Domingo declared their separation in 2017 via a joint statement, citing their aspirations to concentrate on their individual hosting careers. Their relationship had spanned over three years at that point.
Meanwhile, Domingo and Pineda exchanged vows at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Bulacan, followed by a reception at the North Polo Club on January 6th. Notable attendees included former Vice President Leni Robredo, Kathryn Bernardo, Piolo Pascual, and Donny Pangilinan.
Their relationship began in 2018, and after four years, Robi and Maiqui became engaged in Shibuya, Tokyo.
