In 1997, Larry Page arrived at Stanford University to pursue his Ph.D. in computer science. By chance, he was shown around campus by Sergey Brin, Google’s other co-founder. This unexpected meeting marked the beginning of their collaboration with the goal of organizing and making the world’s information universally accessible. Interestingly, they started in a garage, which became Google’s first office.

Fast forward 19 years later, Google has grown exponentially, serving billions of users in different countries and languages. To celebrate this journey, Google has released its newest Google Doodle and a birthday surprise spinner. Click on the Doodle to join in the celebration!

The Google Birthday Surprise Spinner is an interactive feature where users are greeted by a colorful spinner when they visit the Google homepage today. Upon clicking, the spinner starts to whirl, and when it lands on a particular segment, it reveals a surprise game, fact, or fun activity related to Google’s history and achievements over the past 25 years.

Google has released a special Google Birthday Doodle to adorn its homepage. The doodle animates Google’s logo evolution over the years where in its last frame, it features a colorful depiction of the number “25” replacing the double O’s. Look back on Google’s Doodle archives here!
