Meanwhile, a Low-Pressure Area is spotted near Southern Visayas and Mindanao.

As of 4 am on September 29, 2022, Tropical Storm Luis is located 1,090 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon. It is currently moving North at 20 km/h and will exit PAR on Thursday morning.

The LPA has a low chance of becoming a storm and may disperse within 24 hours.

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is weakening. However, it still affects the western section of Central and Southern Luzon.

Most of Southern and Central Luzon, including Metro Manila, may expect cloudy skies in the afternoon with chances of localized thunderstorms.

Heavy rain is expected in Eastern Visayas, Caraga Region and Bohol due to the LPA; chances of floods and landslides are possible.

For the rest of Central Visayas (including Cebu) and Western Visayas (including Panay Islands), moderate to cloudy skies are expected, with high chances of rain early in the afternoon.

The southern portion of Mindanao may expect fair weather conditions in the morning, while cloudy skies are expected in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and areas near Davao Region. Localized thunderstorms may also occur in the afternoon and at night for most of Mindanao.
