SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Ravi, a member of VIXX, announced to leave the cast of the reality show ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ on April 21.
On a Naver V Live broadcast, the South Korean rapper talking with his fans revealed the news as he mentioned his last trip for the show.
“I recently went on my last ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ trip,” he said. “I wanted to tell fans first about my leave, so I came to hold this live [broadcast],” he added.
In addition, there was a hint from him about his upcoming military enlistment, “While it hasn’t officially been decided, it’s come a time that I get ready.”
He also shared he had a good time alongside his “hyungs,” including the actor Na In Woo, and shared his diligent preparation for his upcoming ‘Revoir’ concert on May 8.
“…I’m diligently preparing for my ‘REVOIR’ concert, so I hope we can meet and have a good time.”
Revoir marks his fourth solo concert, it was temporarily postponed by his agency, GROOVL1N, from its scheduled date last February 25- 27 at Seoul’s Olympic Hall due to the high risk of COVID-19.
In December 2018, he joined the show’s cast and was a fixed member for two years and four months. He is currently an active solo artist under his own label.
In the latest official released statement from the show’s production team, they are announcing that Ravi leaving the show is only temporary with his reason to fulfill his service requirement in the military.
“Starting after the “Wish Us Luck” trip that will air next week, we will temporarily be parting ways with Ravi, and we ask that you give him lots of support in the future,” the team stated.
Fans expressed their thoughts prior to the announcement and remembered Kim Seon-Ho, a former member of the show who also left due to his personal reason, for their bonding moments in the shows previous episodes.
