The Marvels starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, Park Seo-joon, and many more marvelous actors is coming to Philippine cinemas on November 8!

The movie shares how Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) reclaims her identity from the Kree and takes her revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. Given that every action carries consequences, Danvers’ choices have resulted in unexpected and far-reaching ramifications, with her shouldering the burden of an unstabilized universe. Danvers’ powers became entangled with Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. The three must unite and save the universe as a trio, “The Marvels”.

It was previously announced that the movie is released with a rating of PG-13. The Motion Picture Association confirmed that the film received such a rating due to “action/violence and brief language”.

Many Marvel fans and watchers were confused about how the movie was able to secure a rating prior to the release and without an official runtime announced, further conflicting the reports.

Different movie theaters have announced various runtimes for the movie. However, Screen Rant has mentioned that The Marvels is expected to run for 2 hours and 20 minutes, while Cineworld, on the other hand, listed the movie to run at exactly 2 hours.

Cryptic HD Quality, an insider who has successfully predicted the runtimes of several Disney-produced entries, has claimed on social media platforms that the movie would be running for an hour and thirty-three minutes, making The Marvels the shortest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to be released, ever.

The Marvels reportedly cost Disney $219.8 billion after receiving a $55 million allowance for shooting in the United Kingdom.

The movie received criticism from watchers even before its release, and the controversies ranged from the revelation of Danvers’ age to Carol’s face looking a bit different from the film’s promotional images.

The movie is MCU’s latest Phase 5 movie to premiere in 2023, following the releases of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
