Rev. Fr. Othelo “Bong” Polinar, SSJV passed away Tuesday evening, April 27, the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro announced. He was 53.

In a Facebook post, the Archdiocese said Polinar died on “natural causes.”

Born February 12, 1967, Polinar was ordained to the Priesthood on December 13, 1995. Prior to his death, he served at the Our Lady of the Snows Parish in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
