WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the center of the eye of Super Typhoon Goring was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Sabtang, Batanes.
The maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h. Super Typhoon Goring is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon will also be taking effect on Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Batanes and Northeastern Cagayan, including Babuyan Islands, will have stormy weather due to Super Typhoon Goring, causing the areas to be impacted with flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Minor to moderate threat to lives and properties due to strong winds may occur.
Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and the rest of mainland Cagayan will experience rains with gusty winds caused by Super Typhoon Goring, impacting the area with flooding and landslides due to heavy rains which may cause minimal to minor threat to lives and properties due to strong winds.
Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan will have Monsoon rains caused by Southwest Monsoon impacting areas with flooding or landslides due to scattered to widespread rains.
Metro Manila, the rest of Ilocos Region, and MIMAROPA, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas will have occasional rains caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The areas will experience flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.
Meanwhile, the country will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
