Easterlies affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said easterlies will bring cloudy skies, scattered rainfall, and thunderstorms to Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, according to its latest forecast.

It warned that moderate to severe rain might cause flash floods or landslides in some areas.

Due to the easterlies, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly overcast to cloudy sky with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms / localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

During strong thunderstorms, flooding and landslides are also possible in certain places, according to the report.



Moderate winds will travel from northeast to east with moderate coastal waters in extreme Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds will flow from east to northeast with slight to moderate sea conditions in the rest of the country.
