WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Palawan, causing moderate to heavy rains.

Easterlies will affect the eastern portions of Visayas and Mindanao, causing severe thunderstorms.

Weather Today – July 7, 2023

The southern portion of Palawan will be experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms that are caused by ITCZ, which will impact the areas with the possibility of flash floods and landslides from moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms that are caused by Easterlies/Localized thunderstorms, which will impact the areas with the possibility of flash floods or landslides from severe thunderstorms.



Coastal water conditions will be normal as winds from East to Southeast will be over Luzon, while Visayas and Mindanao will have winds produced from Northeast to East. 

PAGASA has issued flood warning to the following areas:

  • Lanao Del Norte
  • Misamis Occidental
  • Misamis Oriental 
  • Zamboanga Del Sur
  • Zamboanga Sibugay 
  • Lanao Del Sur
  • Maguindanao
