CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental was crowned Miss Philippines Air 2022.
The Miss Philippines Earth 2022 pageant took place in Coron Palawan, marking its return to in-person competitions. The 2020 and 2021 pageants were online editions due to the coronavirus health restrictions.
The 18-year old crown holder is a student at Liceo de Cagayan University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in tourism management.
The Miss Kuyamis 2022 first runner-up is the latest from Misamis Oriental to hold a national pageant crown after Miss Philippines Air 2019 Ana Monica and Miss Philippines Water 2018 Berjayneth Chee.
Her winning answer to the question “Life is a constant battle, what battle/battles are you facing?” was:
“Life is a circle of battle, but as an empowered woman, I also face some battles and that is the challenge I am advocating for zero waste management. I know it is hard to have a zero waste lifestyle, but as a woman of hope and a woman of change, I know that we can do it. As a global community, we can create the change that we want to see in the world, and we can have a better and greener planet.”
The following are the newly crowned beauty queens:
- Miss Philippines Earth 2022 Jenny Ramp from Santa Ignacia, Tarlac
- Miss Philippines Water 2022 Angeline Mae Santos of Trece Marites, Cavite
- Miss Philippines Fire 2022 Eryka Vina Tan from Legazpi, Albay; and
- Miss Philippines Eco Tourism 2022 Nice Lampad of Baguyan, Agusan del Sur.
The top 10 runner ups are as follows:
- Kiara Liane Wellington of Cebu City,
- Jennifer de Asis of Mandaluyong City,
- Micaela Legarda of Muntinlupa City,
- Jarizz Borcelas of Sagay, Negros Occidental; and
- Jasmine Paguio of the Filipino community in Toronto, Canada
Prior to the coronation day, Paguio won the Miss BingoPlus special. Meanwhile, de Asis, Ramp, and Justiene Ortega of Manila were all named Darlings of the Press.
Only 20 semi finalists were selected from the 38 candidates to compete in the coronation ceremony hosted by Robi Domingo.

- Miss World 1973 first runner-up Evangeline Pascual
- Michelle Bautista Tañada, Bi-Anne Tupas
- Albert de la Cruz Sr.,
- Joyce Hufton, Artemio Manalo Abu
- Eileen de Guzman-Reyes; and
- Maria Grace Mansueto Lim
