Actor Diego Loyzaga recently admitted that he doesn’t believe in marriage, ‘it’s a piece of paper for me’ according to the actor in an interview with Tony Gonzaga.

Loyzaga was a featured guest on ‘Toni Talks’, where he was asked by host Toni Gonzaga about his idea of marriage. His response appeared to have shocked the host when he admitted that he doesn’t believe in marriage.

When he was asked to defend what he said, Diego explained that he and his partner agreed on everything and there’s not a spot or piece of line or paragraph that a couple doesn’t agree on.

“Let’s say for example you and me. We agree on everything. There’s not a spot or piece of line or paragraph that we don’t agree on. Absolutely everything. A hundred percent. Crystal clear,” the actor said.

“Why must we now get it written down on a piece of paper and then get someone else to bestow onto us that we are now a married couple?” he added.

When Diego was asked about their child, the actor said that “I don’t think a child would see any difference from a married couple’s household and someone who’s living together”.

The actor also noted that his partner, whom he hasn’t publicly named yet, highlighted the importance of a child having both parents present during the formative years. Though he and his partner haven’t been married yet, he said they intend to always be there for their daughter.

Diego also talked to Toni about his experiences as a father. He said that one of the things he wanted to make sure of was that he would always be there to support and guide his child. He also said he would make sure his child would never experience what he experienced before when he was still young.
