MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Renowned Filipino MLBB player Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro made a history after officially leading Team Flash, a Singaporean team to a M5 world championship berth. This has made Lazaro the very first Filipino to do so in MPL Singapore.

This was after the reverse-swept title favorites RSG Singapore, 4-3, in the MPL Singapore Season 6 Grand Finals held at the Suntec City Mall Atrium, in Singapore. The match has put an end to RSG’s three-season reign as Singaporean champions.

Additionally, Haddess, 21, currently on loan from Indonesia’ Geek Fam, also earned the title of the Most Valuable Player during the playoffs.

In the best-of-seven series, Hadess joined forces with seasoned players Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov and Adam “Adammir” Chong.

Trailing 3-2 in the series and with their base almost reduced to nothing in Game 5, Hadess and Adammir kept the team’s chances alive with a last-minute rescue.

As the other Team Flash players revived, they initiated a counter-push aiming to push the game to a decisive Game 7.

Meanwhile, Hadess, also known as Janaaqt, made an explosive start with an Aamon pick, achieving a flawless 4/0/1 KDA in just 12 minutes. After taking their first enhanced Lord, the Singaporean team never looked back and remained steadfast. This led them to ultimately secure the first MPL title for the underdog squad.

Consequently, Team Flash qualified for an upper bracket semi finals berth in the playoffs, dethroning Bleed Esports before succumbing to RSG Singapore to move down the lower bracket.

Afterwards, they defeated Evil with a 3-1 victory, earning themselves a rematch against RSG Singapore for a revenge showdown.

Team Flash will be one of fourteen teams qualified at the moment in the M5 World Championships, which will be hosted by the Philippines. The Singaporean team will also be joining the rest of the seven M5 qualified teams, which consist of at least one Pinoy player in the lineup.

Furthermore, two of these teams will also come from MPL PH, who haven’t finalized their representatives yet as the playoff kick off at the EVM Convention Center on October 25.

Hadess is one of the Filipino trios in MPL Singapore, along with Kiel “KielVJ” Hernandez and Jeff “S4gitnu” S. Subang, both representing Bleed Esports. Bleed Esports ended their campaign in 5th to 6th place.

After Season 6, which team do you think will reign in the next season? Stay tuned!
