MANILA, Philippines – Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati, reacts to the DNA test issue of her grandsons, Zion and Kai.
Esther responded to this situation after a comment was left by a user with the handle @wardameramamento on Sarah’s Instagram post from December 25. The post provided a glimpse into the actress’s Christmas celebration with her sons, Zion and Kai.
“As a woman, I might accept my husband’s mistakes, but to have my child take a DNA test because he might not be my husband’s child? It’s too much,” the netizen wrote, apparently referring to Sarah’s actor husband, Richard Gutierrez.
“That’s too much! Why is she angry with Sarah? Sarah isn’t even allowed to go out without a bodyguard, and now she can only go out with us,” Esther replied to the netizen’s comment.
“That’s too much! He’s overly jealous. Then he wants a DNA test? They might be embarrassed,” she added.
Another online user, identified as @cucu_lady, brought up Gutierrez’s mother, Annabelle Rama, who has previously commented on her son’s marriage to Sarah.
“Before Annabelle opens her mouth, she should think about the effects of her nastiness on the children,” the user wrote, adding how Gutierrez is “hiding behind her skirt.”
Esther agreed with the netizen’s sentiment as she responded, “Exactly,” alongside a sad face emoji.
In a separate comment, Esther stated that Sarah and Richard have gone their separate ways and are currently engaged in co-parenting their children.
“Zion and Kai are with Sarah. They live with Sarah’s family. They are co-parenting with their father,” she said.
Sarah and Gutierrez have chosen not to issue any public statements regarding the speculations about their separation. However, observers noticed that the couple was recently seen without their wedding rings.
