MANILA, PHILIPPINES — DITO Telecommunity Corporation offers a faster and easier way for SIM card registration to its subscribers. The new major telco now allows subscribers to register their SIM card in three easy steps.
In compliance with the SIM Registration Act, Republic Act No. 11934, commonly referred to as the SIM card registration law, DITO simplified its registration process to three steps. See the new process for existing subscribers below:
Step 1. In the DITO app, click the “Register your DITO SIM” banner, fill out the form and upload a valid government-issued ID.
Step 2. Take a selfie with your valid ID and input OTP for verification.
Step 3. Click submit.
Meanwhile, new subscribers only need to click the link sent to their mobile phones after inserting their DITO SIM.
Those who register successfully are also rewarded with 2GB Bonus Data.
“Following the implementing rules and regulations of SRA, we made sure that at DITO, registering SIM cards is fast, easy and also rewarding for our existing and potential subscribers to highly encourage them to register their SIM cards as soon as possible and avoid deactivation. Providing fast and easy ways to register is our way of supporting the government with the SRA initiative and it’s also our way of promoting a safe, convenient, and enhanced digital SIM registration process for all Filipinos nationwide,” said Evelyn Jimenez, DITO Telecommunity Chief Commercial Officer.
As of March 4, 2023, DITO has tallied over 3 million registered users or 23 percent of its total 13 million subscribers.
