Actor Diego Loyzaga shared a romantic Instagram post of him and girlfriend Barbie Imperial celebrating their first anniversary over a month ago.
For someone who constantly posts and declares love for their significant other online, the 26-year-old actor’s sudden halt in uploading photos of his romantic relationship with Imperial, 23, turned the wheels on all Marites’ heads.
Break-up rumours only intensified when the actor went abroad solo at the start of the New Year.
In an interview posted Sunday, Loyzaga said his travel to the United States was unplanned. Instead, he booked his flight quietly a day before, leaving Imperial behind due to an expired passport.
“I came here all of a sudden, and it wasn’t planned,” Loyzaga told ABS-CBN News. “I don’t think even if she wanted to come here, she couldn’t have come here. She needs a visa to come here.”
It was his first time visiting the US, and it was unplanned.
During the interview, the actor-model did not confirm nor deny the speculations on whether he and Imperial had called it quits.
He began his impromptu vacation on the East Coast before travelling over New Year, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. Loyzaga enjoyed his short time there, meeting up with his cousins and other friends in Los Angeles.
“I think I found a home here in America,” Loyzaga shared.
After a bustling 2021, the actor is back in the country to kickstart his first film project of the year, The Wife, co-starring actresses Louise de los Reyes and Cara Gonzales and directed by Denise O’Hara. – WhatALife.ph
