CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — Fifty-six of the 164 housing units are already built and still being built in Barangay San Simon, as confirmed during the site inspection conducted by Kagawad Edgar Cabanlas and CHUDD (City Housing & Urban Development Department) Acting Head Attorney Jeoffrey Namalata.

CHUDD is responsible in developing various relocation sites and housing projects in the city.

The homes inspected by Cabanlas and Namalata are for IAFs (indirectly affected families) who were hit by the Mega-dike project in the Barangay Kauswagan area.

Meanwhile, the land development of Pagatpat Valley Residences located in Barangay Pagatpat is now complete, and the land development of Sitio Pamalihi, which is ‘lot only’, is at 70 percent.

The Macadam road in Muslim-Christian and Highland Ville relocation sites, located in Palalan, Brgy. Lumbia has been completed. There are also additional funds for full land development for the two projects.

In addition, the housing project consisting of 10 hectares for City Hall employees is now at 8.18 percent land development; it is expected to be completed within two and a half years.

These developments were made following the request and order of Mayor Rolando `Klarex’ Uy to speed up the housing projects in the city so that more people and families can get a place to live, especially those affected by the infrastructure projects of the government.

During the visit, Kagawad Cabanlas suggested that CHUDD discuss with partner agencies, developers, and stakeholders the methods to speed up the completion of these projects for the people of the city that need this service. – WhatALife!/Zed
