MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Cebu Pacific said on Wednesday that its popular P1 seat sale returns today, March 3, 2022.

The airline’s P1 Sale is part of a month-long celebration of its 26 years in business, according to the company.

Flights as low as P1 base cost to all domestic and international destinations will be available until March 7. The airline stated that the travel period will run from August 1, 2022, through January 31, 2023.

“We’ve seen how excited Filipinos are to travel again and we’re very excited to welcome all of them on board,” said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s Vice President.

“Especially now that a lot of destinations have eased travel restrictions – not only within our country, but even a few international ones,” she added.

Meanwhile, there’s a false statement circulating in social media through Facebook and Facebook Messenger that Cebu Pacific Air is giving away cash presents worth Php7000 as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.

The user is redirected to a web page that displays a line that reads, “Cebu Pacific Air Aviation 25th Anniversary Gift! You will have a chance to win 7000 Pesos if you complete the questionnaire.”

A large photo of Cebu Pacific Air employees is shown on the website. The airline’s logo can also be displayed on the website’s upper left side. The web page to which users are led after clicking the link is a spoof of Cebu Pacific Air’s official website. Users have been warned to avoid clicking the link or submitting their information.

Cebu Pacific Air’s 25th anniversary was celebrated in 2021 with a three-day “Piso” promotion. The tickets were only valid from June 1 to December 31, 2021, if bought during the sale. The airline did not offer any cash prizes as part of the promotion.
