Cagayan de Oro’s active COVID-19 cases breach 1,000-mark


Cagayan de Oro City reported 103 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said the city logged 103 new confirmed cases as of 10 PM yesterday, 34 of which are local cases with known links, nine local APORs, 57 local index cases, and three deaths.

With this, the city has a total cumulative of 6,101 COVID-19 cases.

Out of the total cumulative, 1,026 are active cases, 253 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and 773 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF).

Dr. Nery also announced 26 new recoveries and five deaths, bringing the total recovery and death cases to 4,817 and 258 respectively.
