Oro cases near 6K as City Health logs 143 new infections over the weekend

Cagayan de Oro City reported 143 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, May 17, 2021.

BREAKDOWN: On May 15, the city logged 55 new confirmed cases, of which 23 local cases with links, 16 local APORs, 2 APOR cases with links, 13 local index cases, and one death. Meanwhile, on May 16, the city has recorded 88 new confirmed cases, of which 33 local cases with links, 16 local APORs, 2 APOR cases with links, 36 local index cases, and one death.

With this, the city has a total cumulative of 5,430 COVID-19 cases.

Out of the total cumulative, 893 are active cases, 223 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and 670 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF).



Dr. Nery also announced 121 new recoveries and five deaths, bringing the total recovery and death cases to 4,771 and 249 respectively.
