A man from Nueva Ecija has claimed the Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot prize of over P366 million from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
In a Facebook post, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winner was still in “a state of disbelief” when he claimed his prize.
The 40-year-old winner bought his ticket in one of the lotto outlets of Cabiao town.
The draw took place on June 30, 2023, with a winning combination of 43-58-37-47-27-17.
The winner claimed his prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office main office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, last July 6, 2023.
According to the winner, he went with five combinations.
The four combinations were chosen by him, while the fifth was through lucky pick (LP) where the computer system of the lottery itself chose the numbers.
The winner never thought that the lucky pick would be the reason for him to become a millionaire.
Meanwhile, under Republic Act No. 1169, the lotto winners have a grace period of one year from the date when their prize was drawn to claim their prize.
If not claimed within the specified time limit, the prize will be forfeited and will be deposited in the PCSO Charity Fund.
The PCSO also reminds that the prize over PHP10,000.00 will be deducted 20 percent, in accordance with the TRAIN Law.
Additionally, the agency also ensures that the information of the lottery winners will be kept confidential for their security. – WhatALife!/Val
