CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — The Executive Director of the TFEPB (Task Force for the Emancipation of Piso-Piso Beneficiaries), Engineer Armen Cuenca, announced that they’ll continue the titling program in the city.

In the creation of the TFEPB, among those entitled are the city-owned lands such as the City Central School, Amphi Theater, all of Divisoria, Gaston Park, City Jail in Barangay Lumbia, and City Hall. Since Cagayan de Oro became a Chartered City, these places did not have titles.

It was only after the formation of TFEPB that they were given titles. The government issued the titlings under the administration of former Mayor Oscar Moreno.

The titling of land is now supported and continued by Mayor Uy, especially as one of his priority agendas under the RISE CDO Agenda is to provide the ISFs (informal settler families) of the city with their land and shelter.

Meanwhile, after their subdivision plan was approved, two housing projects entered the Registry of Deeds for title segregation. These projects were the Balangay Pangayao in Tibasak Barangay Macasandig and the CDORSHP 4 (Cagayan de Oro Resettlement Socialized Housing Project) in Barangay Balubal.

In light of this, Engineer Cuenca urged the residents of the said housing projects to title their lands so they can be secure in their tenures.

Mayor Klarex led the opening of Philhealth KonSulta in Lapasan barangay health center

Mayor Uy himself presided over the opening of the Philhealth KonSulTa (Konsultasyon Sulit at Tama) program at the Lapasan health center after the chief of Philhealth X (Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Region 10) handed over the accreditation certificate to barangay captain Julito Ogsimer on October 14, 2022.

The KonSulta program is an outpatient health service such as consultation with a doctor, health risk screening & assessment, specific laboratory & diagnostic tests, and select drugs & medicines to Philhealth members and their dependents registered at a KonSulTa provider facility of their choice.

The Lapasan health center is the fifth facility formally opened as a Philhealth KonSulTa provider. It opened after the Lumbia infirmary, Carmen health center, Nazareth center, and City Health Office. The Tablon health center will also soon open.

The head of the Local Health Insurance Office–Cagayan de Oro, Mr. Marlon Arrabaca, happily handed over the accreditation certificate of the local government of Cagayan de Oro and the barangay council and officers.

During the event, Mayor Uy thanked the Philhealth officials for their constant support in improving the healthcare system in the city. The mayor also thanked the 20th city council, barangay LGU, doctors, nurses, health workers, nutrition scholars, and community development volunteers. And lastly, he thanked the people in support of the government’s health program.

Local Health Insurance Office head Arrabaca called out to the BHWs, BNS, and CDVs to convince and educate the people about the KonSulTa program so that people can avail of it.

In addition, Mayor Uy urged the people of Lapasan and nearby barangays to take advantage of the KonSulTa program. – WhatALife!/Zed
