South Korean actress Seo Ye-ji has withdrawn from her upcoming drama “Island,” her agency GOLDMEDALIST confirmed on Tuesday, May 4.

“A mutual, final decision has been made for Seo Ye Ji to not star in ‘Island,’” the agency stated without disclosing the reason. The production crew is now finding an actress to replace the 31-year-old actress.

Ye-ji has been engulfed in different controversies since the “Dispatch” report was published on April 12 about her alleged manipulation of Kim Jung-hyun’s (who were lovers at that time) behavior in 2018.

The actress is notable for her lead roles in various television series, including Moorim School: Saga of the Brave (2016), Save Me (2017), and Lawless Lawyer (2018), and It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2020), where she rose to prominence.
