In a recent Twitter question-and-answer session, Filipino pop sensation Sarah Geronimo revealed her admiration for Jungkook, a global Korean boy band BTS member.

Responding to a fan’s question about her interest in collaborating with K-pop artists, Geronimo enthusiastically stated, “I love JUNGKOOK. I think he is an amazing artist. Ang galing niya sobra.”

Fans, however, jokingly pointed out to Sarah Geronimo that BTS has a line to follow and that she might have to wait for her turn.

The playful exchange on social media showcased the support among fans and their eagerness to witness collaborations between their favorite artists.

This revelation came amidst her trip to Los Angeles, United States, where she is set to receive the prestigious Global Force award from Billboard’s Women In Music to become the first Filipina recipient.

The award, which recognizes influential female artists from across the globe for their contributions to the music industry, will also celebrate the achievements of other international stars, including Italian artist Annalisa and Brazilian singer-songwriter Luísa Sonza.

This year’s ceremony boasts a diverse roster of honorees, with Karol G being named Woman of the Year and NewJeans as Group of the Year, alongside Charli XCX, Ice Spice, Tems, and Victoria Monét receiving accolades for their works.

Sarah Geronimo also shared insights into her journey to Los Angeles and her emotions surrounding the Billboard recognition.

She expressed mixed emotions about the upcoming award ceremony: “Mixed emotions – excited, nervous! Looking forward to the event. Honored because I’ll be there to represent the Filipino Music Industry.”

When asked about the possibility of exploring the international market, Geronimo expressed her openness, stating, “If given the chance, why not. But, of course, I am open to working with international artists if given the opportunity.”
