The Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) apologizes for the “inconvenience caused by the downtime” for its pilot launch of the Philippine National Identification System (PhilSys) Step 1 Registration website earlier today, April 30.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the downtime of the pilot launch of the PhilSys online Step 1 Registration website earlier today” PSA said in an advisory Friday.

“We received more than 40,000 registration requests during the first minutes of the pilot launch,” PSA explained. This has caused delays in sending one-time passwords (OTPs) to new applicants, which are necessary for validation.

“We are urgently looking into the issue and updating the website to resolve this technical challenge,” the agency added.

PSA will update online applicants as soon as the website is up and running again at fb.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial. Stay tuned!

For queries or concerns, you may reach the PhilSys Registry Office via hotline 1388 (fees may apply) or email info@philsys.gov.ph.
