The Philippine official gazette has declared February 12, a special non-working holiday not in the whole Philippines, but exclusively in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

This holiday, as per Proclamation No. 463, s. 2024, is only in the said city as it is in line with its 26th Charter Anniversary celebrated on February 11.

According to the proclamation signed by the President and Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin last February 6, “to enable the people of the City of Talisay to fully participate in the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that 12 February 2024, Monday, be declared as a special (non-working) day in lieu of 11 February 2024 which falls on a Sunday.”
