WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Easterlies are also affecting Visayas and Mindanao.
Weather Update Today – November 24, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (November 24, 2023) says Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol Region, Aklan, Capiz, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by Shear Line / Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains
Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, and Quirino will also experience cloudy skies with light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Ilocos Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain also caused by Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may happen during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Luzon has moderate to rough wind speed to northeast Moderate to Rough / (1.2 to 4.5 meters).
Visayas and Mindanao has light to moderate wind speed east to northeast with Slight to Moderate / (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Shear Line is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Easterlies will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao.
