PAGASA: Shear Line, Northeast Monsoon brings localized rain to Luzon

WhatALife! PAGASA Weather Updates

WEATHER UPDATE – According to PAGASA, the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and light rains and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in other areas today, March 13 (Wednesday).

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced across Luzon, specifically in Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon, which is affected by the Shear Line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will encounter cloudy skies with light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail in the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon caused by the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The Easterlies impact these areas, and there are possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Furthermore, PAGASA’s wind and coastal water conditions show that Luzon, Visayas, and the country’s northern and eastern Mindanao sections will experience northeast winds, causing moderate to rough coastal water conditions (1.2 to 3.7 meters).

PAGASA advised that light rains are expected but not anticipated to have significant impacts. However, always be prepared for any sudden weather changes.

Always stay informed through reliable sources and adhere to any advisories or instructions from local authorities. Being prepared can significantly reduce the risks associated with adverse weather conditions.
