PAGASA: Cloudy skies and scattered rain expected across the country

WhatALife! PAGASA Weather Updates

WEATHER UPDATE – According to PAGASA, the country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and light rains and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in other areas today, March 12 (Tuesday).

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced across Mindanao, specifically in the Davao Region, Caraga, Aurora, and Quezon, which are affected by the Easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are forecast to see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, a direct effect of the prevailing Easterlies. The weather bureau cautions that severe thunderstorms could lead to flash floods or landslides.

Furthermore, PAGASA’s wind and coastal water conditions show that Luzon and the country’s eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience East to Northeast winds, causing moderate to rough coastal water conditions (1.2 to 3.5 meters).

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay vigilant and follow updates from PAGASA and local disaster risk reduction and management councils for weather-related advisories.
