PAGASA: Mostly fair weather for the rest of the day

WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), there are currently no Low-Pressure Areas (LPAs) being monitored. No tropical storm is expected until the end of February.

The weather agency reports generally fair weather conditions over the country for the rest of the day and no LPAs. However, the prevailing Northeast Monsoon or Amihan over Luzon and parts of Visayas will bring cloudy skies and rains to affected areas, particularly in Southern Luzon.

WEATHER TODAY – FEBRUARY 27, 2023

For today’s weather forecast, major parts of Southern Luzon, such as Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, and Bicol Region, may expect light rains and cloudy skies due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila and Western Luzon will experience generally fair weather with chances of isolated rain showers due to the Amihan.



Temperatures range from 20 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas is forecast to experience thunderstorms while the rest of Visayas may expect fair weather with chances of isolated rain showers. Temperatures range from 25 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius.

Mindanao is forecast to have fair weather with chances of isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms that last up to an hour. Temperatures range from 24 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius.

PAGASA has also released gale warnings today for the following coastal areas. Waves may reach up to 5.0 meters.

  • Northern Samar
  • Eastern Samar
  • Eastern coast of Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands
