Over 59M Filipinos now fully vaxxed against COVID-19

Manila, Philippines — The Philippines has now over 59 million fully vaccinated Filipinos against COVID-19 as of Wednesday, February 2.

According to the latest report posted in the National COVID-19 vaccination dashboard, the Philippines has already administered 127,163,606 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine nationwide.

Of the total administered jabs, 60,466,380 doses were used as first shots, 59,120,367 as second jabs, and 7,576,859 as booster shots or additional doses.

For the pediatrics inoculations, over 7.5 million minors aged 12 to 17 are now fully protected against COVID-19. 



Meanwhile, the government will start the COVID-19 vaccination program for children aged 5 to 11 this coming Friday, February 4.

As of Wednesday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 7,661 new COVID-19 cases nationwide.

In its daily COVID-19 bulletin, the DOH said active cases in the country continues to drop from 176,053 on Tuesday to 160,297 at 4 PM today.

DOH also reported 23,392 new recoveries and 43 new deaths, bringing the total cases to nearly 3.4 million and 54.1K, respectively.
