This Netflix Original K-drama is the fifth Netflix project of Song Kang, one project being the hit thriller series Sweet Home in 2020. Here, he plays the male lead Lee Shi-Woo, while Park Min-young plays Jin Ha-kyung, the female lead. The actress is known as the lead of hit shows such as What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Her Private Life, City Hunter, and more.



The setting of the story will mainly take place in the Korea Meteorological Administration, the national weather forecast service of Korea. Jin Ha-kyung is the office boss who likes to keep everything to herself. She is stiff, always making sure that her personal and professional lives are separate. On the other hand, Lee Shi-woo is the new recruit who is free-spirited with intelligence that impresses Ha-kyung.

The two characters experience the South Korean financial crisis, with Hee-Do’s high school fencing team being disbanded and the bankruptcy of Yi-Jin’s family. The latter struggles through the harshness of life from being wealthy to a life of poverty.

Let’s welcome back the beloved Crash Landing on You actress Son Ye-jin in her new role as Cha Mi-Jo, one of the three leads of Thirty-Nine. This new K-drama on Netflix is a series that follows a trio of best friends on the brink of turning 40.

Mi-jo comes from a wealthy family and is the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam. Despite being born environment, she grew up to be warm through her caring family.

Jung Chan-young (played by Jeon Mi-do) is an acting teacher who dreamed of becoming an actress when younger. She is blunt and may be harsh, but there is sincerity to her words which makes her character impossible to hate.

Finally, we have Jang Joo-hee (played by Kim Ji-hyun), who is a timid department store cosmetics manager. Due to her shy personality, she has never experienced a romantic relationship.

Calling all Webtoon readers, The Official Blind Date by HaeHwa has an official TV adaptation!

The story follows Shin Ha-ri (played by Kim Se-jeong), a single woman with a corporate job. She pines over her male friend for a long time but gets heartbroken after knowing that he found a girlfriend. Enter her chaebol friend, Jin Young-seo, who offered her money to take her place on a blind date. She accepts the offer with the pure intention of getting rejected by her date only to find that she’ll be meeting the CEO of the company where she works – Kang Tae-mu (played by Ahn Hyo-seop).

Tae-mu is a workaholic who is annoyed with his grandfather, who sets him up on blind dates. Having had enough of the blind dates that disturb his work, he decides to marry the next girl he’ll be meeting (Ha-ri pretending to be Young-seo). The next day after their meeting, Tae-mu calls Ha-ri, asking her to marry him.
