MRT-3 Schedule for Christmas and New Year Holidays

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has officially announced the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) holiday schedule from December 15, 2023, to January 3, 2024, on Thursday.

In the advisory, the DOTr stated the line will operate on the regular weekday schedule on December 15, 18 to 22, 26 to 29 2023; and on January 2 to 3, 2024. Meanwhile the weekend schedule will be implemented on December 16, 23 and 30, 2023, while the regular Sunday schedule will be observed on December 17. 

“Tuloy-tuloy ang operasyon ng MRT-3 sa darating na Pasko at Bagong Taon upang patuloy na makapagbigay-serbisyo sa mga pasahero.” DOTr MRT-3 stated in the post.

However, the MRT-3 operating hours will be adjusted on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, as well on Christmas and New Year’s Day itself will be adjusted accordingly. Listed below is the MRT-3’s schedule on the aforementioned days:



December 15, 18-22, 26-29, and Jan 2-3, 2024

  • North Avenue:
    • First Trip: 4:30 AM
    • Last Trip: 9:30 PM
  • Taft Avenue:
    • First Trip: 5:05 AM
    • Last Trip: 10:09 PM

December 16, 23 and 30, 2023

  • North Avenue:
    • First Trip: 4:37 AM
    • Last Trip: 5:18 AM
  • Taft Avenue:
    • First Trip: 9:30 PM
    • Last Trip: 10:08 PM

December 17, 2023

  • North Avenue:
    • First Trip: 4:38 AM
    • Last Trip: 5:19 AM
  • Taft Avenue:
    • First Trip: 9:30 PM
    • Last Trip: 10:09 PM

December 25, 2023 and January 1, 2024
