MOMOLAND leaves MLD Entertainment

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA —  MLD Entertainment announced on January 27 that South Korean girl group MOMOLAND will not renew their contract with the agency after its expiration.

All six members of the MOMOLAND, namely Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy, are set to leave their agency after the expiration of their contract. MLD Entertainment then asked fans to continue supporting MOMOLAND even after their exit from the agency.

Hello, this is MLD Entertainment.



First of all, we sincerely thank the fans who cherish and support MOMOLAND.

After a lengthy discussion with MOMOLAND (Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy), we respected each other’s opinions and agreed to terminate the exclusive contract upon expiration of the contract period.

We express our deep gratitude to MOMOLAND who has been with us for a long time, and we will sincerely wish the best for the members’ future endeavors.

We would like to ask fans to show unchanging love and support to the six members who are about to start anew.

MOMOLAND

The girl group first debuted in 2016 under MLD Entertainment with the mini album Welcome to Momoland. Their first studio album was released in September 2019, titled Chiri Chiri.

MOMOLAND originally had eight members, but Taeha and Yeonwoo left in 2019 to pursue solo projects.



Back in 2018, the group had a free mini-concert in the Philippines at Ilocos Sur. The girls then returned to the country in 2020 as guests on the show Gandang Gabi Vice, hosted by Vice Ganda.

Last year, MOMOLAND performed along with K-pop acts EVERGLOW and AKMU for Ripples for Hope 2022: A K-pop Friendship Day & Night.

Some of MOMOLAND’s best songs are Bboom Bboom, Baam, and Pinky Love. – WhatALife!
