The victim, identified as Adriane Rovic Fornillos, suffered a fatal headshot after removing his helmet. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Fornillos tragically succumbed to his injuries several hours later.

According to CCTV footage from the scene, Fornillos was riding his motorcycle when the assailants, riding a ‘bao bao’, approached and opened fire. Startling revelations emerged from the footage, indicating that the ‘bao bao’ driver’s partner, who was positioned at the back, was the one who shot the victim. Adriane Rovic Fornillos, a graduating student who pursued a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Liceo de Cagayan University, represented Barangay Lapasan in the Cagayan de Oro pageant. The investigation has revealed that Fornillos frequently visited Nazareth for pageant practice sessions.



The local police, led by Police Station 9 Nazareth Commander Police Captain Byron John Ratunil, have launched a thorough investigation into the shooting.
