MANILA, Philippines – “Tsada Mahigugma,” Maymay Entrata’s latest music garners over 80 million views on Tiktok and 1 million views on Youtube.
Entrata’s music success continues from making her self-titled album in 2017, and with her comeback song “Amakabogera” accumulating 22 million views itself. Now, with her newest release “Tsada Mahigugma,” the song promises to be a pop hit, racking up millions of views from different social media platforms.
In a Facebook post, the actress/P-pop soloist expressed her happiness on achieving millions of views from her music video, captioning her post “Oh MAYlooooooovess !! 1M views na tayo sa YT at 80M views sa tiktok bai (crying and heart emoji), Daghang salamat sa inyong suporta ug gugma! (emotional emoji)
“Tsada Mahigugma,” an upbeat love song about being patient for the right person to come along, was released last August.
“Ang sarap po magmahal, di ba po? ‘Tsada’ could be wonderful, maganda, masarap, gwapa, gwapo, tapos ‘mahigugma’ is love. Ibig sabihin po nito, it’s good to feel love and feel loved,” explained Maymay when she performed it live at the 1MX London music festival last July.
Her music video was also posted on TikTok and netizens are quick to use it as a background song for dances, which attracted the attention of many to view her music video in different social media sites.
Maymay produced the single together with Star Pop label head Rox Santos. It was composed by CJ Kaamiño, arranged by Justin Catalan, and mixed and mastered by Theo Martel.
The almost four-minute video, which was directed by Carl Tejada, has been uploaded on the official YouTube page of ABS-CBN Star Music.
“Tsada Mahigugma” follows the P-pop artist’s recent hit “Autodeadma” which features Korean singer Wooseok of Pentagon as of August 2023, survey.
