Presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ name will still be listed in the May poll ballots despite his pending COMELEC cases.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, James Jimenez, Comelec spokesperson, stated that the ballot face has already been prepared. The roster of ten candidates then includes Marcos’ name.

According to Jimenez, “What happened yesterday was we released the final ballot face for the national candidates, we already have what the ballot will look like with all of the names that will be included in the final ballot. Yes, nandoon ang pangalan ni Bongbong Marcos (the name of Bongbong Marcos is there).”

The COMELEC still reports four pending disqualification petitions for Marcos’ presidential bid. Three other petitions have already been dismissed, with the first plea junked yesterday.

The ballot further includes nine candidates for vice president, 64 senators, and 178 party lists.

Jimenez further added that the ballot’s final version will be printed around the 20th.
