CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES — At 5:44 am today, December 20, 2022, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake was felt by residents of Mindanao. The epicenter was located at Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reports the depth of the earthquake at 003 km, with tectonic origin.
The following are the instrumental intensities felt by different nearby areas:
- Intensity IV – Kalilangan, Bukidnon
- Intensity III – Talakag, Bukidnon; Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental
- Intensity I – Malaybalay, Bukidnon; Kidapawan City, Cotabato
