MANILA, PHILIPPINES — A recent viral photo on Instagram of actress Issa Pressman and singer-actor James Reid holding hands has sparked rumors of a romance between the two stars.
Speculation over the status of Issa Pressman and James Reid’s relationship has intensified after they posted a photo of them holding hands at Harry Styles’ concert at the Philippine Arena on March 16.

Instagram users swiftly commented on Issa’s post.
“Luh totoong time is the ultimate truth teller nga. Tagal pa umamin. Buti nalang idol ko si Nadine,” one Instagram user commented.
“Kailangan pa pala ni Harry mag concert para mag jowa reveal,” wrote one of Issa’s followers.
“Perfect timing to confirm that they’re officially dating to make headings and divert Liza Soberano’s career growth media release gone wrong,” commented another.
In a separate Instagram post, James shared a video of him and Issa singing along to Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar.” The video had added fuel to the rumors of their romance that first sparked when the actor was still in a relationship with long-time reel-to-real partner Nadine Lustre.
Issa Pressman third-party allegations
Issa was speculated to be allegedly the third party in James and Nadine’s separation in January 2020.
Yet the ex-lovers Nadine Lustre and James Reid backed Issa in her sister Yassi Pressman’s post.
“Sorry you girls got dragged into this. There are some messed up people out there,” James commented. He then commented with three heart emojis.
In contrast, Nadine also responded to Yassi’s post and defended Issa from the attacks of her fans.
“Love you both,” Nadine commented, tagging Yassi and Issa.
The post has since resurfaced online, with netizens commenting and asking Yassi what’s the other side of the story, which she teased in an Instagram story.
James Reid defends Issa Pressman
Although both parties have not confirmed their relationship, James Reid went on Twitter to defend Issa Pressman from the circulating rumors of her being the third-party in James and Nadine’s past relationship.
“I’m only gonna say this once,” Reid wrote. “The past rumors about Issa are just that, rumors.”
“I usually never address bashers or get involved in hate culture but I feel the need to speak up now because this is the start of something beautiful,” he also said.
“I’m not gonna let anyone take that from me,” Reid added. “All you need to know from me is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
