The sequel to the 2019 box office hit sensation “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” top-billed by GMA’s Alden Richards and ABS-CBN’s Kathryn Bernardo, is set to be released soon.

Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards and Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo are excited and happy to reprise their roles as Ethan and Joy in ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ the sequel to their successful 2019 movie ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye.’

“Parang panaginip. Hindi po kami makapaniwala na finally it’s happening. It’s happening this year. We couldn’t be more excited about what will unfold in the next couple of months.” Alden said.

“It feels very familiar but, at the same time, it’s different because it’s been five years and five years is such a long time. I’ve changed and, I think lahat kami. Lahat tayo nagbago. I’m just curious about kung ano ang maibibigay namin this time around.” Kathryn said.

The second installment will continue the story of Ethan (Alden) and Joy (Kath), two struggling OFWs who met and fell in love in Hong Kong at an inopportune time.

Five years later, their paths crossed again in Canada.

Additionally, ‘Hello, Love, Again’ will be the first film collaboration between Star Cinema and GMA Pictures. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the sequel is set to be released in the Philippines on November 13.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” is the second highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, next to “Rewind,” starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

The announcement was made on Sunday (May 19) with key officers from ABS-CBN and GMA present. They were ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Film Productions head Kriz Gazmen, and GMA Films president and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

For many years, Star Cinema has been telling heartwarming stories of Filipinos and adding light on the realities of Filipinos living and working abroad through its silver screen features. Some of its remarkable films from past decades include “Anak,” “Barcelona: A Love Untold,” “Caregiver,” “Dubai,” “In The Name of Love,” and “Milan.”

Additionally, in collaboration with APT Entertainment and Agosto Dos Pictures, Star Cinema produced the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, “Rewind.”

Meanwhile, GMA Pictures has produced notable films that touch on key social issues in the Philippines. It led the production of critically acclaimed movies “Muro Ami” and “Deathrow,” the historical drama, “Jose Rizal,” as well as blockbuster hits like “Let The Love Begin” and “Ang Panday.” Last year, it released the movie “Firefly” which earned the Best Picture award in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.
