Kapuso heartthrob Alden Richards has opened up about his real relationship with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo.

The two stars have been the subject of much speculation ever since Kathryn’s birthday, with many gossiping about their sweetness towards each other.

Recently, entertainment journalist Nelson Canlas interviewed Alden, seemingly probing whether there’s more between him and the actress.

The actor responded, “What you see is what you get.”

According to a report from “24 Oras,” their friendship has remained strong since they worked together on the film “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” Their interactions on social media, Alden says, simply reflect their natural camaraderie.

“Masaya naman, masaya naman ‘yung naging experience and you can see how happy Kath is right now,” Alden shared.

He further added, “Hindi lang din talaga kailangang ipamalita sa social media ‘yung mga ganyan, but you know, sometimes ‘yung mga personal things that’s happening, better be personal nalang.”

Following this, Alden mentioned his preparations for this year, which include participating in a marathon.

The actor preferred to focus on his health, which led him to take a break from playing online games.

“Actually, hindi ko naman siya ina-announce, but suntok sa buwan lang na gusto ko sana by this year, makatakbo ako sa isang half marathon,” Alden shared with Nelson. “It’s more of therapy…panibagong outlet. I lie lowed with gaming, hindi na ako naglalaro kasi, so doon ako sa fitness nagfo-focus kasi mas beneficial siya sa health”.

Social media buzzed with photos and videos of Alden and Kathryn at the actress’s post-birthday party. Alden even arrived with a large bouquet of roses and a gift for Kathryn, adding to the speculation surrounding their relationship.

Many fans expressed overwhelming excitement, claiming that the two are perfect for each other.

Alden and Kathryn grew close while filming the 2019 blockbuster movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” Rumors have circulated that Star Cinema is planning a sequel to the film.

Rumors suggest that the sequel, starring Alden and Kathryn, might be Star Cinema’s official entry for the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, once again directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
